A new FWF project named ACOSIA (Atmospheric Controls on Stable Isotopes in Antarctica) was funded in the FWF Board Meeting 12/2015. The project deals with paleoclimatic interpretation of stable water isotopes from ice cores in Antarctica. It will be carried out in close cooperation with AWI, LSCE, and NBI and includes a field season at the German Antarctic wintering base Neumayer III. The total funding amounts to EUR 383.722,50. The planned project duration is 2016-2019.

With this new project, Elisabeth Schlosser will have been funded by the FWF for 20 years. This was worth a cake! :-)
